Finally, NeoLine 2.0 is coming！ The new version of NeoLine has not only changed the color tone but also adjusted some operations. To make it easier and faster for you to upgrade to the new version of the wallet, we have prepared the following operation guideline to help you quickly get started a new version.
Update your NeoLine
You can directly open the original version and click Update directly.
If there is an update failure in the steps,
Android users can go to the NeoLine official website （https://neoline.io/en/）to download the new version of the Android wallet directly;
Apple users need to download TestFlight before downloading the new version of the NeoLine wallet.
Create a wallet
If you download NeoLine for the first time, you need to create your digital wallet after downloading it.
Click [Create Wallet] below, enter【Wallet Name】 and【Password】, also, 【Password】 needs to be confirmed again.
There are no specific naming requirements for NeoLine Wallet. You can modify your satisfied wallet name after creating your wallet. The specific operation will be described in detail later!
【password】 This password must be remembered. It is the password you need to enter when transferring assets in the future, that is, the transaction password. For security, it is best to set the password a bit more complicated.
After confirming the wallet name and password, click【Create】 and your wallet will be created! But it doesn’t mean your wallet is completely good! A more important step is to back up the private key.
After the identity is created, the wallet will remind you to back up the private key as soon as possible to avoid the situation where the private key is not backed up and the asset cannot be retrieved. There are two ways to display the private key, one is a string, and the other is a QR code. You can back it up according to your actual needs.
- Character string: Please follow the order, clear handwriting, uppercase and lowercase are correctly copied to the paper, and save it in a safe place.
- QR code: It is prohibited to save, take screenshots, and take photos. Only for users to scan the convenient import wallet directly in a secure environment. Please use it under the condition that there are no people and cameras around. Once the QR code is obtained by others, it will cause irreparable asset loss.
PS: Please keep the wallet’s private key information properly, and do not disclose it to others. Once lost, assets will not be recovered. In addition, you should back up under the condition of ensuring safety. Do not connect to unknown networks or browse the contents of unknown, illegal, and unsafe link URLs to prevent irreparable property loss caused by the theft of wallet information.
Import wallet
If you have used Neo wallets before or have installed our NeoLine, you can enter directly by importing wallets.
There are 3 ways to import the wallet: 【Private Key】 【Encrypted Key】【NEP6 File】.
Generally, we choose the first one, which is 【Private Key】import. Completely input the private key that you originally backed up, and reset the wallet name and password.
If you have forgotten your private key, you can recover it by Json file, which is the third method of NEP6 file, but it needs the wallet password set before to assist the import.
Specific operation method: open the wallet, click 【import wallet】-select the third item【NEP6 file】-click 【select file】, you can log in to the wallet by importing your saved Json file and entering the previously set password.
If the app is deleted, the Android phone will not delete the wallet file, and users need to handle it by themselves. But iPhone deletes the files.

Wallet’s Homepage
Entering the wallet, you will find that the layout of the entire wallet homepage has changed, it changes from 【Wallet】, 【Application】, 【Information】, 【Settings】 to 【Wallet】, 【Discover】,【News】,【 My】.
There are many features you may ignore on the wallet’s homepage. Let’s take a closer look.
1.Multi-address management
At present, our NeoLine wallet supports multi-address management, which means that one person can create multiple wallets. How to create one? This part is different from the clicked avatar on the old version of the interface. The new version clicks the button on the upper right corner of the wallet homepage (the red box in the figure) to open the [Switch Wallet] page. It is also the entrance to create a wallet and import a wallet.
When switching wallets, just tapping the wallet that you want to choose, and the wallet in green color is the wallet currently in use.
PS: a wallet corresponds to a password, remember to set it according to your own habits!
If you find a wallet you no longer want to use, you can delete it.
Click the【Switch Wallet】select the wallet you want to delete, and long press, it will pop up【Are you sure you want to delete this wallet】, click【Confirm】 to delete the wallet.
2.Back up private key, modify wallet name, export wallet
Back up the private key, modify the wallet name, and export the wallet are hidden in the 【Wallet Details Page】. These are the three points on the top right corner of our wallet homepage. Go to the page to modify the name, wallet private key, and export wallet.
(1) Backup private key
Click 【Display private Key】, enter the login password, and click【OK】, you can see the wallet private key. We have already mentioned how to back up above. You can check it by yourself.
(2) Modify wallet name
Click on the pen symbol in the picture to modify your wallet name.
(3) Export wallet
Below the private key is the 【Export Wallet】 button. After clicking, you will find that a Json file is saved (specifically saved in your mobile phone-File Management-NeoLine-Json file), but the location may be different for each phone. It is best to check the specific location by yourself.
【Word interpretation: Json file】: Json (JavaScript Object Notation) file is a file format containing lightweight data, which can be easily read by humans or machines.
The main function of the Json file is that if your private key is forgotten, you can open the wallet by importing the Json file and back up the private key again.
The specific use method is to install the wallet first, then open the wallet, click 【Import Wallet】-select the third item【NEP6 file】-click 【Select NEP6 file】, you can log in to the wallet by importing your saved Json file.
PS: When importing the Json file into the wallet, the password you need to enter is the password set in the original wallet, so you must remember your wallet password when exporting the wallet.
3. Asset management
Below the wallet name is your 【asset】valuation. The data comes from the top exchanges. Click on the eye symbol next to the asset valuation to hide the asset and asset quantity.
Click 【+】 next to My Assets to add the assets which you want. This part is the same as the original version.
After clicking the【+】 button, it will jump to the asset page. When you choose to add assets, if you have been dragging down the selection, you can directly add the asset name in the search box to add.
Then someone will ask, what should I do if I want to delete some unwanted assets. It seems to do not have a button for me. Click【+】and you will see a【-】 next to all the currencies you added to the asset page. Click this【-】to delete it.
(Ps: Only assets with a value of 0 can be deleted.)
Scan QR code to transfer
At the most important step, how do you receive or transfer?
On the 【Wallet】 page, select the asset you want to receive or transfer. Taking NEO as an example, click【NEO】: It will jump to【Receive】 and 【Transfer】page, click 【Receive】, it will jump out the payment QR code and address; click 【Transfer】, it will show the transfer NEO address and NEO amount, click【Confirm】and the transaction is completed!
In the case of receiving the payment QR code of the payee, you can also transfer the money to the other party through【Scan】.
Discover interface
The original application section is now renamed to 【Discover】. The specific operation is the same as the original version.
The application section also adds【Search Applications】and【Hot Search】functions.
Click on the search bar at the top and enter the DApp you need to quickly find existing apps. In addition, you can also use popular search to learn about the DApps that everyone is currently using. By the way, the history bar will also keep your recent searches for you to find next time.
News interface
The 【News】 interface has two sections, Featured and Twitter, so that users can easily find the latest information.
My interface
The old version of this interface was【Settings】. In the new version, we changed it to 【My】, which consists of【Account】,【General Settings】,【Activity Plan】, 【Help and Feedback】,【About Us】 .
1.Account system
In the new version, we have added an account system. After opening the account system, we will find that there are only phone numbers and email addresses. Some users may find it a little bit less. In fact, the account system serves the Cloud wallet function that will be launched later.
If you want to change your wallet avatar, you can change it in the account system. The next time you log in to the wallet, you will find that the page display is your avatar. This design is our colleagues’ favorite!
As for whether to bind the account system, you can choose freely. The wallet and the account system are independent. Even if you do not bind, it will not affects your using experiences.
If you bind your mobile phone number, you need to remind everyone that in order to prevent the malicious flow of limitation of text message verification code, we have limited the number of times to send text message, once per minute, three times per hour, five times per day, So don’t send verification codes frequently!
2.General settings
General settings include【Multi-language】, 【Currency Unit】, 【Node Setup】, 【Face ID unlock】and 【Clear Cache】functions.
- Multi-language: Simplified Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese, you can choose according to your language.
- Currency unit: divided into CNY, USD, KRW, JPY.
- Node setting: Select the main network or test network.
- Face ID unlock: Turn on /Turn of Face ID
- Clear cache: clear the cache
3. Activity plan
Secretly tell everyone that our wallet will hold various events irregularly, Activity plan is the entrance. Therefore, remember this notice, otherwise, we will miss a lot of benefits.
4.Help and feedback
For the help and feedback in the new version, we have made changes to make the content more detailed and clearer categories.
5.About us
In 【About Us】, users can view the【[User Agreement】,【Privacy Agreement】, and they can also see the 【Version Update】 related information.

- Do not use mail to transfer or store private keys;
- Do not use WeChat collections or cloud backups to store private keys;
- Do not take screenshots or take photos or save to mobile phone albums to save private keys;
- Do not use WeChat or QQ to send private keys;
- Do not tell the private key to your around people;
- Do not send private keys to the group;
- Do not use Apple IDs provided by others;
- Do not import private keys into unknown third-party websites.
Remember, it is insecure that the private key is not saved offline. The safest way is to make clear handwriting, distinguish between uppercase and lowercase, and make two copies in a handwritten notebook. Keep them in different places and forbid acquaintances or people with ulterior motives to see them.
