Since people often encounter various wallet problems in the process of using NeoLine, we established the Neoline Talk column. Through a series of short videos and articles introducing wallet-related knowledge, you can go to the Twitter homepage (@NeoLine) to view.
In the sixth issue of NeoLine Talk, we will use a set of comics to explain some common unsuccessful transfers and how to solve them.
Little dinosaur was very angry because Little tiger had borrowed 5 NEOs from him before, and today is the day to return them.
Little tiger said that the transfer was successful, but Little dinosaur did not receive it.
Type 1: Transfer to the wrong address
Common unsuccessful transfers and the transfer has not been received for a long time;most of them are caused by the wrong address.
Please note: If you transfer the wrong address, the asset will be at the wrong address when the transfer is completed, and the wallet platform cannot help you withdraw the transaction. Therefore, when transferring tokens, you must repeatedly check whether the payment address is correct, and don’t let the assets fall into the pocket of the “wrong person”.
Type 2: Transaction congestion
If you have confirmed that the transfer address is correct, then the probability is that the transaction is congested and the transfer has not arrived. If you still haven’t received the token after half an hour or more, please contact the transfer party or enter your own or transfer party wallet address in the blockchain browser such as NeoTube to check the transfer progress.
NeoTube official website: https://neotube.io
Open the NeoTube browser and enter the block height, hash, address, or transaction ID to check your transfer progress.
If the transaction is congested and the account is not received for a long time, the node will invalidate the transaction. But don’t worry, the assets are still there.
If you need to speed up the transfer process, you can add an appropriate priority fee on the transfer page so that your transaction can be processed first by the node.
If it is an imToken-type wallet, you need to set up a miner’s fee to achieve fast packaging transactions.
【Explanation: Miner’s Fee】
The miner fee refers to the reward fee that needs to be paid to the miner when transferring digital currency, and can also be understood as the transaction fee in the blockchain network. This amount is not fixed, the more miners you pay, the faster the package. In simple terms, it is like the transfer fee in our daily life, similar to the bank transfer, Alipay transfer fee.
Type 3: Affected by the network
The last one is also a reason that is easily overlooked by everyone. Although everyone thinks it is unlikely, we often turn off the network by hand when switching networks or the network is not stable at that time, so that we have not received the transfer information for a long time.
Especially nowadays most users use hot wallets, such as NeoLine. The hot wallet is a wallet stored on the Internet, so transactions are also inseparable from the Internet.
If the transfer address is correct, and the other party shows that the transfer is successful, please first check whether your network is stable, refresh the wallet, and then go to the blockchain browser to check the transaction congestion.
The above is the summary of the three types of wallet transfers that we have not received. In addition to some common cases, please leave a message on Twitter to add.
